Hey guys! Sorry that it’s been a while. I’ve been busy with school and working on something I am very excited to share with you guys really soon!
For the past couple of months I have been breaking out more than usual so I have been looking into lots of skincare products. I’ve purchased more skincare products than makeup within these months, and I’m going to share with you the ones that have worked for my skin. Keep in mind everyone’s skin is different, so what works for me might not work the same for you!
I have extremely dry and textured skin so I’ve been focusing on controlling my breakouts, getting rid of texture, and moisturizing.

These are the products that I have been using lately!
First, I’ll start with my face wash which isn’t pictured, but I use the Cetaphil daily facial cleanser. It’s really good for sensitive skin. I’ve tried a bunch of face washes but those have actually made my skin worse, while Cetaphil just keeps my face clean without causing me to breakout. I also use the Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Bar for Face & Body ($16.50), but only at night. This along with the Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel works really well clearing up acne. My acne usually clears up overnight or in two days when using these two! I realized my other cleansers weren’t clearing up my acne because they didn’t contain salicylic acid, so if you have the same problem and are wondering why, try checking out the ingredients on the back! Although I have dry skin, the two Clinique products tend to be super drying so I feel they made my skin pretty oily while using them, due to the fact that my skin was super dry so it began producing more oil. Make sure to use a toner after washing your face to help with this!

This is the clearing gel I just mentioned above. It works really well and contains 1% salicylic acid, which is great for getting rid of acne. I apply this after using my toner. It may seem small, but it lasts a while and is very effective. It costs $18, which isn’t too bad because it’s worth it.

After washing my face, I like to use the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution ($8.70) by The Ordinary. If you don’t know what The Ordinary is, check them out! They sell amazing skincare products for a super affordable price. Their products have really made a big difference in my skin. Glycolic acid is great for getting rid of skin texture! I also apply the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Serum and when I first purchased this product I was immediately amazed and impressed. Within two days my pores looked significantly smaller, my skin felt tighter, and my skin texture was going away. Highly recommend! I’ve tried so many products in the past, so many different exfoliators, but this was the only product that made the difference for me! So if you suffer from bad skin texture, check this one out. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen, especially when using this serum!

The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is great for exfoliating. I would never use a physical exfoliator again! It truly just gives different results when using this chemical peel compared to exfoliating beads or masks with a physical exfoliant. My skin feels so smooth and looks so clean and more even when I use this! It can be used twice a week! It can break you out though, so do not use this before a special event.

For moisturizer I use the Clean & Clear dual action moisturizer. It also contains salicylic acid to help with acne while moisturizing your skin. It doesn’t make your skin feel extremely hydrated, but it does the job. I feel like I can find a better moisturizer, especially for my extremely dry skin, so if you have suggestions please leave them in a comment below!

Last, I use the belief moisturizing eye bomb. It does somewhat hydrate my under-eyes, which are also extremely dry, but it does make a difference especially when I apply my concealer. I wouldn’t purchase this again especially for the price it costs, but it will suffice for now. Any small difference is better than nothing for my skin. So there’s the products I use in my skincare routine! Remember to always drink water. When I’m well hydrated I can instantly feel a difference in my skin, it feels so much smoother and not so dry. Eat well too because unhealthy foods can really affect your skin. When I was dieting, I wasn’t really eating less calories I was just eating healthy foods my skin was glowy and I wasn’t really breaking out. Try not to stress so much, because that can cause acne too! If you have any questions, tips you want to share with everyone, or skincare product suggestions, feel free to leave a comment!
