My Skincare Routine

Hey guys! Sorry that it’s been a while. I’ve been busy with school and working on something I am very excited to share with you guys really soon!

For the past couple of months I have been breaking out more than usual so I have been looking into lots of skincare products. I’ve purchased more skincare products than makeup within these months, and I’m going to share with you the ones that have worked for my skin. Keep in mind everyone’s skin is different, so what works for me might not work the same for you!

I have extremely dry and textured skin so I’ve been focusing on controlling my breakouts, getting rid of texture, and moisturizing.

IMG_0347.JPG

These are the products that I have been using lately!

First, I’ll start with my face wash which isn’t pictured, but I use the Cetaphil daily facial cleanser. It’s really good for sensitive skin. I’ve tried a bunch of face washes but those have actually made my skin worse, while Cetaphil just keeps my face clean without causing me to breakout. I also use the Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Bar for Face & Body ($16.50), but only at night. This along with the Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel works really well clearing up acne. My acne usually clears up overnight or in two days when using these two! I realized my other cleansers weren’t clearing up my acne because they didn’t contain salicylic acid, so if you have the same problem and are wondering why, try checking out the ingredients on the back! Although I have dry skin, the two Clinique products tend to be super drying so I feel they made my skin pretty oily while using them, due to the fact that my skin was super dry so it began producing more oil. Make sure to use a toner after washing your face to help with this!

IMG_0349

This is the clearing gel I just mentioned above. It works really well and contains 1% salicylic acid, which is great for getting rid of acne. I apply this after using my toner. It may seem small, but it lasts a while and is very effective. It costs $18, which isn’t too bad because it’s worth it.

IMG_0350IMG_0351

After washing my face, I like to use the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution ($8.70) by The Ordinary. If you don’t know what The Ordinary is, check them out! They sell amazing skincare products for a super affordable price. Their products have really made a big difference in my skin. Glycolic acid is great for getting rid of skin texture! I also apply the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Serum and when I first purchased this product I was immediately amazed and impressed. Within two days my pores looked significantly smaller, my skin felt tighter, and my skin texture was going away. Highly recommend! I’ve tried so many products in the past, so many different exfoliators, but this was the only product that made the difference for me! So if you suffer from bad skin texture, check this one out. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen, especially when using this serum!

IMG_0348

The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is great for exfoliating. I would never use a physical exfoliator again! It truly just gives different results when using this chemical peel compared to exfoliating beads or masks with a physical exfoliant. My skin feels so smooth and looks so clean and more even when I use this! It can be used twice a week! It can break you out though, so do not use this before a special event.

IMG_0353

For moisturizer I use the Clean & Clear dual action moisturizer. It also contains salicylic acid to help with acne while moisturizing your skin. It doesn’t make your skin feel extremely hydrated, but it does the job. I feel like I can find a better moisturizer, especially for my extremely dry skin, so if you have suggestions please leave them in a comment below!

IMG_0352

Last, I use the belief moisturizing eye bomb. It does somewhat hydrate my under-eyes, which are also extremely dry, but it does make a difference especially when I apply my concealer. I wouldn’t purchase this again especially for the price it costs, but it will suffice for now. Any small difference is better than nothing for my skin. If you have any recommendations for eye creams, leave them in a comment below!

So there’s the products I use in my skincare routine! Remember to always drink water. When I’m well hydrated I can instantly feel a difference in my skin, it feels so much smoother and not so dry. Eat well too because unhealthy foods can really affect your skin. When I was dieting, I wasn’t really eating less calories I was just eating healthy foods my skin was glowy and I wasn’t really breaking out. Try not to stress so much, because that can cause acne too! If you have any questions, tips you want to share with everyone, or skincare product suggestions, feel free to leave a comment!

Affordable Pressed Glitters (Solana Luxe)

Hey guys! If you’re looking for affordable pressed glitters check out @SolanaLuxe on twitter! They are a vegan and cruelty free brand on Etsy.

About Solana Luxe: Solana Luxe was created by 17 year old Lyndsey Swinderman, with the determination to always be 100% vegan, cruelty free & inclusive to all! Handmade with love in sunny Orlando, Florida; each product is hand-crafted & made to order. All orders are packaged neatly to prevent damage during shipment and transit.

They have many different shades of glitter and are always coming out with new ones!  The glitters are cosmetic grade and are best applied with your finger, in my opinion.

I was honestly impressed with the quality of the glitters! I think from now on I will stick to their glitters instead of purchasing loose glitters as they tend to get everywhere and happens to be messy. I swatched these glitters on my arm and they did not move and when I washed my arm it all went down the drain as one! Didn’t get anywhere else, and was simple to remove.

IMG_7864

The packaging I received it in was also super cute! I got mine in a flower/floral print slip and my glitters were wrapped in tissue paper with a thank you sticker attached. I also received a lollipop and some stickers since I ordered mine right before Valentines Day!

IMG_7868

These were the four glitters I purchased. I love all of these shades!

The top left is Megara, which has a pink-red mica pigment base which I love because it helps with the coverage on the lid and rose gold glitter. This one is a lot more finer and softer than the other glitters, but is still very beautiful.

The top right is Novacane which is a true blue-teal glitter with icy reflects.

The bottom left is Icy Girl which is a silver based blue glitter.

And the bottom right is Glitch which has different shifts of blue, green, yellow, purples, and pinks. I love this one and it gives me mermaid vibes!

I highly recommend you check them out. All the glitters are $4.20 and they also have some loose chunky body glitter.

You can also use my code FRBEAUTY10 to get a 10% discount! It helps a lot even though these glitters are already a good deal.

BH Cosmetics

Hey guys! So I recently purchased a popular palette from BH Cosmetics. The Take Me Back To Brazil palette has 35 colorful shadows that are great for any bright look! It has every shadow you need for the transition shade, crease, and lid! It is only $16.99 but BH Cosmetics usually has sales so keep an eye out for them. I was able to get this palette for about $11.

IMG_7706IMG_7709

So now onto my review about this palette! I actually was really impressed with it, but I’m always impressed with their palettes because they are super affordable and have great quality. The shadows blend really well, and the pigmentation is amazing as well. If anything, I like it more than the Morphe 35b palette. There is no kickback when I dip my brush into the shadows or any fallout when I apply the shadows to my eyes. It’s really worth the money. I do highly recommend this to anyone who loves colorful looks and needs a starter palette. Below I will post a look that I was able to create with it.

How to Get This Purple Look

Hey guys! Sorry that it has been a while, but I am back! Today I did this purple look using the Morphe 35b palette. It is such an easy and simple look but looks so gorgeous at the same time. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time blending!

IMG_6891

Here are the colors I used and where I put each color. I used so many different brushes for this so I could blend it out well, but my favorite ones to use were of course the Sigma E35 and E25. There is no edit to this picture just smoothed my skin out a bit so you could focus on the eye look and not my textured skin. I am actually really proud of how well I blended the eyeshadows!

IMG_6894

A tip to getting the colors to be so vibrant and saturated is to prime your lids with Tarte’s shape tape concealer but do not set it with powder! Just continue on with the eyeshadow look. It’s super easy to achieve a look like this! If you liked it please comment on this picture on my Instagram (@_FRBeauty) and tag @morphebrushes, it would mean a lot to me.

L’oreal Face Scrub Review

Hey guys! So I was lucky enough to receive this L’oreal pure sugar scrub from Influenster to review! This one is the purify & unclog scrub! Within the first use, I already noticed that my skin was the smoothest it has ever been, and that was before applying moisturizer too. I’m so in love with the way the scrub smells, it has kiwi seeds in it too! Within a week of using it I noticed that my skin was starting to clear up. My skin does look much healthier now and smoother. On Ulta’s website it said that this could also be used as a lip scrub too!

This scrub did a great job, and now I feel that my skincare products can really get under my skin and do its job better because this scrub really removes the dead skin! I would recommend this to you guys and don’t think you would be disappointed! I suffer with really dry skin and this really helps make my face look so much better. Walmart sells this for $9.77 while Ulta has it for $12.99.

What do you guys think of this scrub? What are some of your favorite exfoliants?

My First Ofra Cosmetics Purchases

Hey guys! In this post I wanted to show you guys the first products I have purchased from Ofra Cosmetics! Hautelook had Ofra Cosmetics on their website so of course I had to try it out! I heard so many great things about their highlighters and liquid lipsticks! If you don’t know what Hautelook is, it is a website that has great sales on different products such as home, clothing, and beauty! I suggest you guys check it out so you can purchase some beauty products at discounted prices! They have had sales on brands like Smashbox, Laura Geller, Urban Decay, Morphe, and so much more! If you want to sign up and get these deals feel free to click on this link (Hautelook sign up) .

I decided to purchase their highlighter in Rodeo Drive and their liquid lipstick in the shade Dubai. The highlighter originally costs $35 but on Hautelook they had it for $20, and the liquid lipstick is originally $20 but came down to $9.97. This was a really great deal!

IMG_6442

Below are the swatches of both products! The highlighter is beautiful and the formula is literally the best formula I have ever tried for highlighters. It is so smooth and the pigmentation is great. It would really blend well into the skin! The formula for the liquid lipstick is amazing as well; not drying at all. Even though I just recently got these products I highly recommend them! I now understand the hype over Ofra products! I would definitely be purchasing more from them in the future.

What are some of your favorite products from Ofra Cosmetics?

My Go-To/Favorite Eye Makeup Brushes

Canada!

Hey guys! I wanted to share my favorite/go-to makeup brushes with you. Brushes are essential if you want to get a well-blended beautiful makeup look so I hope this posts helps you guys!

IMG_6430

Morphe M502 & Sigma E35 blending brushes

The first two brushes I use during my makeup looks are the Morphe M502 and the Sigma E35. I use these for the transition color. The Morphe one really helps blend out the shadow so its not so harsh toward the brow. I also like using the Sigma E35 to blend the transition and crease shadows together. The E35 brush also packs on the color really well but blends it flawlessly.

IMG_6431

Sigma E25 blending brush

Next, I like going in with my Sigma E25 blending brush and using this for the crease. Again, blends very well and evenly distributes the product. Sigma brushes are really amazing and have helped my makeup looks so much, I highly suggest you look into them! This is the perfect brush to use in the crease and I don’t ever really use any other brush for this job.

IMG_6432

Morphe B83

For packing color on the lid I love using the Morphe B83 brush. It works very well and the edge of it really helps if you want a more defined/sharper look such as when you do half cut-crease or cut-crease looks.

IMG_6433

BH cosmetics studio pro #8

I recently got this BH cosmetics brush. It’s from their studio pro line and its brush #8. BH cosmetics is honestly a really great brand. They have really affordable products with great quality, and this brush is of good quality. I like this brush for the crease if I am doing any type of cut crease look and want to deepen the shadow and make it more saturated. It helps with that while also allowing the shadow to blend in with the transition shade!

IMG_6435

Morphe E18, ELF, & Sigma E30 brushes

These three brushes I love using for the lower lash line. I like applying the transition color with the Morphe E18 since its larger then I go in with the Sigma E30 pencil brush with the crease color and smoke it out on the lower lash line. I like applying really dark shadows closer to the lash line with the E.L.F. brush. You can find the E.L.F. brushes at drugstores, its really affordable and does the job! When I first started off with makeup E.L.F. brushes were the first brushes I purchased.

IMG_6436

Morphe M506 & Sigma F70

I love the Morphe M506 & Sigma F70 brush for cutting my crease! Really helps with precision and makes it so easy for me! I recommend the M506 for beginners if you are having trouble doing cut creases, it made it so much easier for me when I was learning.

I hope you guys enjoyed this and look into these brushes! What are some of your favorite brushes?
